Two contests. One deadline. The legends of the Kaggleverse are still in the arena, and the clock is running. ARC Prize is two Kaggle contests where teams build AI that solves brand-new puzzles, and this is your guide to its last weekend: the stories, the scoreboard, the field and the final bell.
Weekend editionBoards read Sat 4:29 pm ETThe bell: Monday, 11:59 pm UTC (6:59 pm Eastern)

ARC Mutants keep grinding. Plus Jack Cole, the legend at the bench: MindsAI’s top score, a podium, a paper honor and cards from the original deck.

By day they’re data scientists, researchers and students. This weekend they’re the heroes of the arena, and the lights are flickering. Meet NVIDIA’s Grandmasters, Tufa’s detective and everyone in both top tens.

What’s going wrong in both contests, who is saying what, and what it means for Monday night. No villains, just a crowded arena.

Who’s playing, what they’ve won, and when their score landed.

Kaggle handles, X handles and the team each player is on, contest by contest.

What time the bell rings around the world, how the finals are decided, what’s at stake and what to watch.

Places are provisional until the private scores arrive. “Reached” is when we first spotted each team’s current score; Kaggle posted it a little earlier. Arrows show places gained or lost, and green numbers show points gained, since the last 6 pm Eastern reading. Green rows are NVIDIA entries; the yellow row is ours.
Each player has one Kaggle account, and it goes with them into every contest. CPMP, NVIDIA’s Jean-François Puget (CPMP) (keep a nickname in brackets when the ledger name has one; the same applies to イツ (Itsu)), is cpmpml whatever team he is on.
A team belongs to one contest, with its own name and roster. CPMP and Darragh Hanley are nvbanana in ARC-2 and two of the seven on NVARC3 in ARC-3. Giba plays ARC-2 solo and joins NVARC3 for ARC-3. The head editor plays for ARC Mutants in ARC-2 and Team Turducken in ARC-3.
The team-merger deadline passed on October 26, so the teams you see now are the teams that finish.
The board everyone watches is scored on a sample of the test data. The private board, revealed after the bell, decides the final places and the medals.
